Last month, residents and staff from across Saint Cecilia's Care Group were delighted to take part in the Care Provider Olympics, enjoying a fun-filled few weeks of activities, teamwork and friendly competition.

While the event was designed to bring people together and celebrate the spirit of care, some participants approached the challenges with a particularly competitive edge. Nowhere was this more evident than in the staff 100-metre race at Saint Cecilia's Nursing Home, where "just a bit of fun" quickly turned into a race for glory, much to the amusement of everyone watching.

Throughout the month, residents and staff also embraced the popular High 5 Challenge, sharing smiles and spreading positivity around our homes and at The Lounge. The challenge proved to be a wonderful way to connect with others and create memorable moments for everyone involved.

Another highlight of this years event, was the ever-popular egg and spoon race, which drew plenty of laughs and with glorious sunshine providing the perfect backdrop, the event had a fantastic atmosphere from start to finish.

The Care Provider Olympics gave everyone the opportunity to enjoy some light-hearted competition, build connections and celebrate the strong sense of community that makes Saint Cecilia's such a special place.

It was a fantastic event filled with laughter, teamwork and a healthy dose of competitive spirit. The only question now is: who will be starting their training early for next year's events?
